Hi all, does anyone know what kind of score you would need to get this card ? I heard that Chase requires no negatives on your report to be approved for the Platinum card so I would think that the requirements for this card should be even higher. I'm thinking about going for this card once my recent inquiries fall off.

    Benefits of Chase Signature:

    No pre-set spending limit
    Free auto rental upgrades
One free domestic companion ticket per year
    Double miles for ticket purchases

    All for $65 annual fee

Visa Signature card is generally by invitation only. Income should be higher than $150K+. I saw a segment on Travel Channel recently where they profiled that card. Their concierge service can get you reservations even in restaurants with months wait. They can get you private tour of Gallo Winery in Napa Valley with Mr/Mrs. Gallo escorting you around. In other words, if you got the income, cash to burn sky is the limit with this card.

    TRAVEL CHANNEL

Hi PCotten - I saw that show as well - it certainly did show that Ms. Gallo was available on an hour's notice...LOL!

I think each bank has its own requirements for VISA Signature - and, again, I did see the exact show you mentioned....that couple obviously had a high limit!

I think that some people here have Signature Cards with $5000-7500 "limits". I know Citibank offers their card with much lower limits than you might expect. I believe the highest level VISA now available is the VISA INFINITE CARD - which tries to
-sort of - compare itself to the AMEX BLACK CARD.

Hell - for $100, I would have driven them to the Gallo winery, dropped them off - and picked em up 4 hours later - blitzed. I would have thrown in a bottle of cheap Gallo - glup gulp - arrrfffhhh.

Forgive my ignorance, please, but what kind of restaurants require reservations *months* in advance?

    HI MARCI......

In San Francisco and Silicon Valley - after the great dot.com blitz - ANY restaurant will give you a reservation for either one hour from now or a year later - whatever it takes - LOL!

All those chardonnay sipping yupsters are now turning to GALLO.....I was never in that category - I still prefer BUD!

Hi Steve - why not call CHASE and ask them about requirements and the part of the Card that has a revolving credit limit and the part that works like a T/E Card....I imagine CHASE offers a high line of credit for the revolving portion, and it would be a desireable card.

While you talk with them, tell them you are considering AMEX - at $55 per year. They will then start to sell you on CHASE....

    best regards - dogman

Is it possible to upgrade to this from the Platinum card ? I've had a Chase Platinum card for almost two years now and I think the history should help in the approval process.

Just called and found out that you can't upgrade and have to apply separately. The minimum income to qualify for this card is $25,000 and you need to have a good credit history. I guess a good history means a score of 650 or more since the rep wasn't able to give a minimum score requirement.

Does anyone know if they compared the Visa Signature to the AMEX Centurion card on that Travel Channel show that I missed ? It looks like Visa Signature is much easier to get than the Black Card.

Visa signature doesn't even come close to comparing to the black. Actually, it doesn't even compare to Amex Plat! Signature is easy to get, my friend has a signature, he makes $33k/yr.

Minimum requirement for Amex Plat is $100k/yr, and Amex black you can't even apply for, but I've read you need to charge over $100k on your existing Amex plat to be invited....

$33K/year gets you Signature Visa? Shocking. First USA told me the minimum income is $150K to be considered. American Express Black is strictly by invitation. They won't accept call-in applications. Amex platinum is easy to get.

What are the requirements to get Visa Infinite?

The minimum income for the Citi USA Signature Visa is $36,000.

    TRAVEL Channel Comparison..

Hi Steve - they only mentioned "VERY QUICKLY" that AMEX offered some super prestige cards, but then spent 99.9% of the show on Signature.

It was odd that the Travel Channel was not more -up-to-date on the VISA Signature.

    VISA INFINITE Requirements.....

check out the card at this address:

    http://usa.visa.com/personal/cards/visa_infinite_benefits.html

I am sure Visa can give you banks that offer
Infinite - BUT - the benefits are nearly identical to AMEX Cards - Green Card included.

Obviously Infinite is a higher notch than Signature.

    Dogman,

Other than the free companion airline ticket, how does the infinite card beat the signature?

    Thanks,

    Re: VISA INFINITE Requirements.....

That's the only difference that I could see Marci!
I'm sure the "INFINITE" Card has a high credit portion to start.....

I would be thrilled to have a VISA Signature - but need a clean record....as always LOL!

    Re: VISA INFINITE Requirements.....

Isn't your BK-13 ready to drop from your reports? Or already gone? If so, check out the Citi USA one (www.hhonorscard.com). Customer service sucks but the card benefits are good.

Also - Capital One has a Visa Signature. Maybe you could call Mr. Cooke and ask for a way to apply. It's not advertised on their site.

Best wishes to you as well,

    :)

Speaking of nice restaurants, there's one in the North San Francisco area on the bay called "Greens", I think. Complete vegetarian, very nice dining. I'd reserve months in advance for that one. :)

Amex Centurion ¥Black¤ is not "by invitation only"© If you already have Amex Platinum and spend 150k/year, Centurion customer service has discretion and can issue you a card©
