Years ago my TU file was mixed up with another person with the same name. The other persons credit was mostly negative and that added to my negative stuff really gave me a low score. Over the years I got it straightened out, however, but now my report contains the infamous "hawk alert" and a note that says a letter is on file from the consumer asking that he not be confused with other people with the same name. I believe this in itself is bringing my score down. Especially since the report now looks like my other CRA reports (pretty good). But the scores differ drastically. Exp 723, Equifax 702, TU 504 (although I took someones suggestion here and checked the eloan score and it came up as 691). Anyway, my question is this: Will TU delete this "hawk alert" and remove the letter on file? Can they do that? I think that in this case, no info, is good info. Any suggestions?
TELL THEM TO REMOVE THE "HAWK ALERT"...if they don't...you can ask them for $1,000 when they see you in SMALL CLAIMS COURT!!!
HAWK-ALERT Messages ***HAWK-ALERT: VERIFY INPUT... --INVESTIGATE ADDRESS***(Designated as Current or Previous) ***HAWK-ALERT: VERIFY INPUT... --INVESTIGATE SUBJECT SSN*** ***HAWK-ALERT: VERIFY INPUT... --INVESTIGATE TELEPHONE NO.*** ***HAWK-ALERT: SUBJECT SSN HAS BEEN USED TO FILE A DEATH CLAIM IN (DATE)*** ***HAWK-ALERT: VERIFY INPUT...ADDRESS IS COMMERCIAL*** ***HAWK-ALERT: VERIFY INPUT...ADDRESS IS INSTITUTIONAL*** ***HAWK-ALERT: VERIFY INPUT...ADDRESS IS A MULTI-UNIT DWELLING*** ***HAWK-ALERT: VERIFY INPUT...ADDRESS IS RURAL ROUTE*** ***HAWK-ALERT: CLEAR*** ***HAWK-ALERT: TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE*** ***HAWK-ALERT: HAWK ACCESS NOT AUTHORIZED***
