I heard people telling not to sign on validation letter?
Is it very important to not to sign on it? Or is it just a excessive caution? What are the real reason for not signing? What would you guys recommend?

I'd say just type your signature. No need in taking a chance that a forger might be able to duplicate your signatureon a blank application.
