Will AMEX (Blue Cash) pull a hard or soft if requesting lower rate?

    Thanks

THERE IS NO LOGIC TO DO A "HARD" FOR AN INTEREST RATE DECREASE...BUT THEN THERE IS NO LOGIC TO NO INCREASE IN THE CREDIT LIMIT FOR 4 YEARS EITHER!!!

Well, logic is something I quickly learned NOT to rely on too much with credit issues. I was hoping for a reply from anyone who has experience with such requests with AMEX just to make sure they don't have an odd habit of pulling hards as opposed to soft "periodic review", or whatever it's called, on a consumer request.

NEVER had a "HARD" for a reduction in my interest rate...

BUT I am still waiting for my 8.99% to be reduced to 7.99% (BLUE)...I'm NOT gonna' hold my breath...

Last time I called about the BLUE 7.99%...I WAS TOLD TO "APPLY" FOR IT!!!

    I DON'T THINK SO!!!

Good. That sounds like a round of requests for lower rates from existing creditors is a way to go before a round of applications for new cards. A family member has 11+ with AMEX and a recent jump from high 600s to over 720 due to paying off CC balances including paying off AMEX in full, so there's room for improvement.
