Thanks for any future advice to my question. I'm just over 4 years past Chap7 discharge. The only derogs (except for BK) I have on my EQ score are 7 missed payments from a mortgage on a home that ended up as a short sale prior to Chap7. I understand that any bad marks prior to discharge can be reported, however is it worth while sending a GW letter concerning 7 missed payments on my CR? EQ is the only bureau reporting at this time and there were no other missed payments on any other CC or installment loans. (The HELOC reports no missed payments.) These reported missed payments are keeping my EQ score down <30 points. Thanks again for any advice.
Usually GW letters are sent prior to filing for bankruptcy. It may not hurt to send a GW letter to try and see if you can removed those missed payments since it was a short sale.
