The OC has sold the debt, they will not take it back. I have been told that a collection company has no right to collect a dept that was not original theirs, is that true? I know that the OC will remain on the credit report, But how should I deal will the Collection agency?

No. If that were, how would CA's exist?

We need a lot more information on this first.

There are people who say that; unfortunately, they are wrong.

There are people who believe that unless a CA provides a contract giving them the authority to collect the debt, that they have no authority, unfortunately they're wrong.

Just because you see something, doesn't make it true, that's one of the reasons that I don't use any form letters, my personal letters are a lot more effective than form letters, and they don't have caselaw that says that they are asking for things that don't fall under the definition of validation.
