Bankruptcy

I'm in a situation where I'm unemployed can I file bankruptcy? My home is up for foreclosure and taxes are behind. I have a buyer for my house but; I don't know if we'll be closing before the court date. Filing bankruptcy would it slow down/stop the process?

Hav you filed BK? The answer to your house question is in the paper work you would file with the court. NOLO on line has a lot of do-it yourself on BKs.

Will you get any money out of the sale?If you do it will go to your creditors. If you file make sure your attorney knows that your selling your house,so he can advise you.
