While the Feds keep the lid on short-term interest rates, now might be the ideal time to give your credit cards a little scrutiny. Some issuers are continuing to offer zero percent interest rates that stretch through next December. **FleetBoston is offering a "Platinum VISA" with a balance transfer APR of 0% through next year, and Citibank is offering a 12-month 0% APR on its "Platinum Select MasterCard." Chase is also currently offering a 12-month 0% APR for purchases and balance transfers on its "Platinum VISA" for applicants who qualify for the "Elite" or "Premium" level. The zero percent offers also extend to business cards. Bank One is offering a 5-month 0% APR on purchases and balance transfers for its new "Free Cash Rewards Platinum VISA Business." Advanta is also offering a 0% interest rate through May, on purchases and balance transfers, for its new MasterCard Platinum Business Card With Cash Back." Some of the 0% offers may only be available through invitation or to consumers with an impeccable credit history. But it's worth a phone call to your current issuer to request a better deal for 2004 www.cardtrak.com **AND GEORGE STILL GETS 9.74% JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH THEM!!! George...got off the phone with Fleet...Just did a $4k BT..no fee...0% for 18 months..works for me. I have been a customer since April '03.
I just got a transfer at 1.9%, no fee until June 2004 with Fleet. Other offers I have received: Citi: 2.9 until paid in full, no bt fee. State Farm: 2.9 until March(or so) 2005. No bt fee
They offered me this on my TITANIUM - but remember, FLEET pulled my rpts a few months back, and bounced me due to BK. THEN, I applied after the rpts went clean, they gave me the crappy $2K limit! LOL - today I got their deluxe REWARDS catalog - where I can buy a mixer if I spend $10000 on the card. I could spend $30 and buy a mixer LOL!
