    Hey everyone,
I have this issue with a car loan TL on EQ, it reports as â?¦ 60 days late 10 times, â?¦90 days late 1 time. I paid this one off in June 2000. The balance shows â??0â? However it reports as being currently past due. Further the reports show no accounts with negative history. Talk about a bunch of contradicting BS, WTF?!!!! I am still tying to understand this New Credit Watch format. (Take more money and give more confusion). This is my last neg. I would appreciate any thought, insight or other forms of motivation as I work on a dispute letter.

I have this exact situation with EQ and TU. GMAC car loan paid off in 1997. Both EQ and TU have it as "currently past due."

Not sure what the problem is, but in my case it clearly resides with GMAC since it's wrong with two separate CRAs.

Sent GMAC a letter, no response.
Disputed with EQ, they deleted the whole tradeline (dropping my score because it was an older tradeline).

Sending GMAC an intent to sue letter today.

It might be worth it to get your hard copy report from EQ just to see what it says. I think there are sometimes discrepancies between the way things are shown on-line and the way they really are.

Ill get the hard copy after I submit my dispute. I thought about ordering one, But that falls into their scheme to charge more ... confuse more.

Depending on the state where you live, you may be able to get a free report. I know Maryland residents can get one free report each year from each agency. Several other states have the same law, and one, I think Georgia, you can get two per year.

Also, if you've been denied credit you can get a free report.
