its possible that the company no longer has an account with the CRA's that deleted. Things like this happen. the CRA's sell contracts/subscriptions to CA's and OC's just like they sell credit reports to us. make sense?
Or there could have been some sort of grevious <sp?> error in the updates that the CA's sent back to the CRA's that caused them to disgard the info totally.
Maybe the dates on the items you disputed are close to the 7 year mark? Some CRA's will delete things that are close to 7 years old if you dispute, if you are lucky.
Or maybe they just flat out didnt go through the dispute process out of incompetence. seriously.

But there are many other reasons why this can happen.

I believe personally that certain companies have 'partnerships' with certain CRA's that make disputes get auto-updated in a certain way. like RMA and EQ (as in another post..RMA TL's almost instantly get verified when you dispute with EQ, even if the accounts are legitimatly not yours), or Certigy and EQ..they are almost the same company in some aspects. This is probably illegal, because how could this equate to proper verification/proof of a supposed debt? bah.

thnx for the info mark... i guess experian just didnt take the time to validate.. it only took 10 days for the items to fall off after i disputed. In my opinion eq is by far the hardest cra to get deletions from. it shouldnt be that way but hey its not a perfect world

similar thing happened to me. i disputed an account as not mine with the 3 bureaus. TU came back as Verified (with wrong information) after only two weeks. Eq and Ex deleted but only after their time was up. I then sent a procedure request to TU stating that I was disappointed on how they handled the investigation because they are still posting incorrect information. 3 days after they received my letter, they started an investigation. I did not request for a re-investigation but they did anyway. The only reason I found out about it was because I called to check on the status of the procedure request. Anyway, I'm still waiting for the results of the second investigation. Hopefully, they will delete as well. I think TU did not go through the investigation process at all that's why they went ahead and started one after I sent them a letter.
