Are you suggesting they stop the tanks and turn everyone around? It "ain't" going to happen. There are thousands of men and women putting themselves on the line for us right this minute. I thank both them and the President for taking action. I also applaude the pentagon for the surrender talks going on right now with the Republican Guard. They could have let the missiles fly, but instead have shown restraint.

The fact that my break from religious and political ideologies is interrupted by these type of posts pisses me off. You want to inform me about the war? Fine, post a link to CNN. The fact that 75% of the earth's people make up three-quarters of the population may have some members of this forum arguing for days. Nobody likes unprovoked attacks. I am a Democrat, I am a Liberal. I am an NRA member. I am pro-war. This forum is (was my sanctuary). I do not welcome unprovoked rhetoric - from either side. This forum, as I can tell, has never been a conduit for either side of the political spectrum. Some people feel that because they are in the majority that they can post biased commentary in the hopes that all will follow. There is safety in numbers. If there was never any opposition by a vocal minority, the United States would never have gone from a dream to a reality, and we (Americans) would still be drinking tea and paying a tithing to the King.

Many people have this admiration for Secretary Rumsfield. This guy had a lot to do with putting Saddam were he is. What is alarming is every time I turn on the radio, I here the likes of Rush Limbaugh trying to convince his listeners that President Clinton is responsible for the Iraq mess. It's simply not true. President Clinton may have skeletons of his own in his closet (whitewater, etc), but he didn't put Saddam were he is. Do I believe Saddam needs to go, you bet. Whether we created him or not, he has outlived his usefulness. But at the same time, I believe the manner in which the administration has handled this is very dangerous to our future standing in the world. We can not start eliminating every leader who we do not like. Believe me, I wish we could. There are many brutal leaders walking this earth. Who decides who stays, and who goes. I hope I'm wrong about president Bush and this administration. Maybe in the end, there is a method to their madness. North Korea is on deck. They are a lot more formidable then Iraq.
