I know some cards, such as Amex, have a blacklist and if you filed bk and included one of their accounts, then you can never get another card through them without paying off what you bk'd on. Sooooo, my question is this...are most cards like this? Hubby had about a dozen or so very prime cards with huge cl's when he filed for bk. Does this mean even after the bk falls off his credit report he will not be able to get another good card. (He does have a good cl through DMB and through CapOne, but there isn't much else left for him.) L
Whyspers, you must have been asleep ) Check this out: http://consumers.creditnet.com/straighttalk/board/showthread.php?s=&pgnum=2&postid=267048#post267048
Thanks for posting this, but that's not what I'm asking this time...lol. I'm asking if he can get a card with say...oh...Chase...after the BK falls off his credit report in ten years or if he is on their blacklist for good. Do they keep records of those who have filed for bk and included their account or do they depend on the bk to show up on the credit report and once its gone, then its a new start? L
I know somewhere in that post there was a blacklist of creditors that would never give you anything if you filed against them. I'll take a look for it.
Ok whyspers, if you go to the first page of that thread I gave you there is some info on some blacklists. I'm sure there is more through the entire thread. Had to go to my account to find this one. There could be duplicate info but still it may help you: http://consumers.creditnet.com/straighttalk/board/showthread.php?s=&pgnum=&postid=257437#post257437
whyspers, I thought you were talking about the band. Maybe that was before your time? I know it was before mine! Charlie
