I know it has been stated on this board before, but I didn't see it when I read through the FCRA. Does anyone know for sure if you are entitled to $1000 plus damages for a violation of the FCRA? I currently have a lawsuit against Equifax, and it doesn't appear that they are going to settle.

Section 616 and Section 617 of the FAIR CREDIT REPORTING ACT....

Actual costs or $1000 per violation for civil liability... plus attorney's fees.

Could be argued $1000 per violation, per report..... :)
