15.65% prime or sub-prime?

I received an interesting 'denial'/'pre-approval' combination, offering a 15.65% rate.

I would think a 15.65% rate would be prime, (if not close to it); but the fact that its a pre-approval on a denial letter leads me to think that it would be considered sub-prime.

BTW: The only other differences in the account terms that i could tell was a $4 a month membership fee; and a CL of $100.00 for a MC.

Oh, want a hilarious combo for a denial the last two reasons were "Too many accounts opened in the past 12 months; and a lack of revolving accounts." even though the only two new accounts are revolving accounts.

The first two were of course "Too much owed in delinquint accounts, and excessive number of derogatory account" (EX 4 - TU 6+1 other negative; currently)

Hopefully, when this round of disputes is complete the score will be (EX 2 - TU 4) -- the one on each is one that i am having problems getting the ca to validate, with more than a one page fax, and a copy of a 'application' which contradicts the one page fax; so i've got the bbb's and ag's offices involved, and hopefully that'll bring enough heat to get them to delete the account; or i'll get a third-party letter that the two cras can refuse to look at... ;)

"IF" you have MILES...CASH BACK...or POINTS...15.65% would be FINE...

I would NEVER pay that high with REWARDS ANYWAY...IT REDUCES OR ELIMINATES THE VALUE OF THE REWARD!!!
