I am getting ready to pay my Citi card online. Something looks strange though. I recently transfered all my balances to my Plat Select because of the balance transfer offer. I have a 5,202 balance on this card now and it says my min payment is only $17 something?????? I am not paying the minimum but that really does not sound right.
It does not, they may have calculated the minimum on the charges pre balance transfer...or there may be a calculation using the "day in the month the balance was applied" and therefore the minimum payment is not calculated as if the balance was applied the entire month. I would call Citi and ask. their CSR reps are great. -Peace, Dave
Compare the date of the balance transfer and the date your account closes for the month. Probably the transfer occurred a day or two prior to the closing date.
