18K Land loan feasible after C7?

    Hey all,

I'm a newbie to Creditnet, and I have a question re: obtaining a small land loan.

Is trying to obtain a land loan for 18K (less what I put down) even feasible at this point? I was discharged in Sept. '03 -- I filed C7, no asset.

My credit reports are a mess; I just pulled all three a couple days ago. Lots of my accounts say "charge off" instead of included w/BK. You know, the usual post-bankruptcy mess. Also, my credit score is very poor- 555.

I'd lost my job and moved to a new state where I've had good work now for a couple years. My income is 30K/year; I have no other debts; all my vehicles, etc. are paid off. I can put down up to 6K on an 18K land loan.

Can anyone here provide some input/feedback concerning personal loan experiences, post-bankruptcy?

I realize I have credit rebuilding to do, and I really need to get my reports cleaned up. But, this land is such a great deal! Is it even worth pursuing this early, post-BK? Or, should I strictly concentrate on cleaning up my reports and letting time pass?

    Thank you for any input!!!!!!!

Not a BK expert...BUT $6,000 on $18,000 sounds like they will BITE...

It is not like they have to EVICT anybody from a house.
