About two months ago we found out that we would have to sell our house, relocate and buy a new house. It seemed impossible!

Both our credit scores were in the mid-500s.

    Our mortgage alone had at least 9 30s a 60 and a 90!

Today my PrivacyGuard scores range from 645 to 681!

The second round is just starting and we won't have to apply for the new mortgage until after it's completed, so hopefully we will be in the 700s by then!

I came in feeling beaten down and pathetic!

Today I feel empowered and capable!

    Thank you all!

Congratulations! Not to be a downer, but before you get too excited about the PG scores, I would check out true FICOS from the big 3s... these are what will count when you need a new mortgage. Nevertheless, you have made great progress in a very short period of time and deserve to be proud:)

    Thanks and I will check!

One added note to this whole thing.

Before I started all this my credit was shot, so I didn't care about being late on payments... even if I had the money to pay on time!

Pretty funny how I care now! I can't imagine that I will ever be late again... assuming I have the money to pay!

Did you dispute the 90,60, & 30 days late. If so, how did you dispute it? Did they come off? What were your procedures in having the lates removed?

    Are those real FICOs?

If I pull my reports with score from the CRA's themselves, are you saying that those are the "real" FICO scores? I thought TU score is FAKO. It goes over 850 doesn't it?

My EXP score from PG and when I got pre-qualified for a mortgage about 2 1/2 months ago was 643 (PG and merchant FICO were very close). After getting a collection account deleted and 6 90+ days late removed, my PG score jumped to 756! My score jumped over 110+ points in 2 1/2 months! I got 1 collection acct. removed from my EQ and my score only went up 25 points from 701 to 726. Still waiting on my TU disputes results. It is currently 680 and hopefully it'll be over 700 after the lates are removed. I think I got off topic here, but I am just sharing how much my score jumped in 2 1/2 months too. So, to the original poster.... YES it can be done... you have plenty of time!

Congratulations on your first round of disputes results!

At TU you can get the fako and the real Fico. At Equifax you can also purchase your real Fico. I believe they are both $12.50.

    Nard4u,

I disputed all lates on my reports, including mortgage lates, as never been late.

My mortgage company did not verify, so they came off.

Only Experian left the TL... with no lates showing. The others dropped the TLs alltogether.

Still have a 60 on Diners for the 2nd round as well as about 6 or 8 30s on CCs.
