Just received my hubby's TU report after our first round of disputes. 2 of the 3 are deleted! Yay!! And the third, which was Verizon says new information below. So upon looking below where it reported a balance before it now shows as balance $0. That's at least something.

Incidentally, DH's second Verizon derog which wasn't yet disputed has mysteriously disappeared off the new report. And a CA that was falsly reporting is gone (we actually went through the OC for that).

Now.. next steps for DH and TU:

-- 2nd round disputes. Do I dispute Verizon again in this round?
-- One closed TL has one 30 day late. I am hoping that a goodwill letter will help make that a good account for him.

Now I know there are some disagreements on this board as to whether to dispute again right away or wait the 90 days. What do you all think?

TU didn't include an updated score, but otherwise overall I am pleased with this first round for my hubby. I hope that will put his TU over 600.

    Thanks all!!

    Congratulations!

When I received my first dispute results from TU, I disputed right away and they verified it again within two weeks. I'm still trying to decide what to do next.

If you have other disputes I would do those first.

I've always done my second round as soon as possible. My theory is the creditor might think it's a duplicate and not respond. No proof...just a hunch.

I have two other disputes that I can do right away on his TU. That's why I was debating whether or not it was a good idea to include the Verizon again. I really don't want to run the risk of TU calling it frivolous before I get the other two items deleted, but I was thinking like you... what if Verizon just doesn't respond this time thinking they already had. But then again what if they reinsert the one they deleted.

Unfortunately there are risks with all the different strategies. There is a bit of luck to this.
