All right, the other post was already too long so I decided to start a new one. Some of ya already know what's going on so I will get to the point. I'm trying to re-establish/establish my credit (waiting for couple of lates to come off and I'm clean) but don't have any history except paid personal loan and AU on 4 year on my wife's ATT Platinum. Ohh, I just got another personal loan at Citi. I recently applied for BofA secured ($500) and am thinking (Ron recommended a second secured card) about getting another one. This time BofA secured for business. Since I have business account with them I think I should get one. So, is it going to look good on my credit report that I got 2 cards from the same bank at the same limit ? Or it won't matter as long as I am NEVER LATE and PAYING AS AGREED. Any comments ? Ohh. is it gonna show that it's a business card? P.S Ron, the reason I don't want to get FNBC is that I don't want to have any subprime cards. I mean, hopefully ANBCC will take off my lates and I'm pretty much going UP. So, I thank you for your advice but I think I'll take a different aproach. I really appreciate your and you all help.
damianlr, Not all the FCNB cards are subprime such as Eddie Bauer Rewards MC, Spiegel Store News card, Eddie Bauer Store Card. They are not only issue the subprime card and also issue the prime card. I have Eddie Bauer Rewards MC and Spiegel Charge and they are subprime cards. Many banks keep giving me cards and they don't care what card that you have. All they care you can pay their bill. By the way, FCNB didn't report their account as secured account. Ron.
Thanks Ron, As far as the business part of the question and having 2 cards from the same bank ? What about that?
damianlr, I think business credit card just only report on your businees credit report not personal credit report. It is because business credit card for company nothing to do with individual. The company authorized the employee to make purchase and you're not responsible for the bill. It doesn't have anything to do with credit and it depends on the company's credit. Ron.
Ron, If he was an employee, you are 100% correct. But above, he said he has a business acct. So I assume he has his own business. If that is the case, his personal credit will determine if he gets the business credit card acct. I know if it becomes delinquent they will report it to his personal credit, but if it is in good standing, they may not report anything.
LKH, In this case, the business credit doesn't help his personal credit. I knew the business credit doesn't anything to do with personal credit. Ron.
I just called BofA and found out that If I use TAX ID - that's gonna go on my business credit, but If I use SS# - it will go on my personal. BTW, yes I own the business.
