2 CA's own same account?

I have an old collection that was originally with T-Mobil for $1,331.
For quite a while I've received correspondence from Enhanced Recovery about this account. Enhanced Recovery is the CA showing up on my credit report. Now I have received a letter from Midland saying they now have the account and they are offering to settle for $1,197. Midland is NOT showing up on my credit report.

I sent a DV letter to Midland on 6-22. If they are able to validate and I settle with them will/can the Enhanced Recovery stay on my report? What should I do to get them deleted?

Same situation with Nuvell/GMAC. Nuvell is reporting on my CR but now GMAC has sent a letter offering a settlement. GMAC is NOT showing up on my credit report.

I'm running out of time to get these things settled and off of my report (trying to buy a house). I pretty much have to pay them off to raise my credit score quickly but I want to make sure that if I pay GMAC that the Nuvell will be deleted and GMAC won't pop up as a new collection. Same with the T-Mobil account.

    What should I do? HELP!

While there can be two CAs on an account, only one can OWN the account.

More than likely ERS sold the account to Midland, recently. I personally would dispute the ERS account, and see if it comes off, in case they did sell it to Midland.
