This is my first post and I would like to thank everyone for the time they devote to this forum. I have been lurking for a while and reading as suggested. I have validated with 2 CAs and they both removed the TLs, so I have had some success and am grateful. Although I have been reading past posts as much as possible, I still have a question. I have a DMB chargeoff that shows a balance. This did in fact chargeoff and it went to a CA, I paid the CA and their TL shows a paid status. My question is - what is the best way to attempt to have the chargeoff TL removed, or at least show a "0" balance? Should I dispute with the OC? Or dispute with the CRAs? I found plenty of info on disputing a Paid chargeoff, but not any info regarding a chargeoff displaying a balance. Thanks again in advance.
