EQ for some reason removed 2 valid inquires that posted in April of 2002 yesterday. Just by removing these two inquires, my score went up 18 points. And they say that inquires only play a small factor in your score. What a load of crap. Just FYI.

Was that for some reason, or for the reason?

I think that he does not know why Eq removed the inquiries.

Yeah, inquiries are huge I think, especially if you have no derogs.

I was fooling around with the Experian score simulator this morning and noticed that for what it's worth, the simulator says that 12 inquiries over 2 years hurts the score more than two 90 day lates.

For those with no derogs., credit scoring becomes problematic because the scores are derived from the most pathetically thin amount of information. Balance ratios and inquiry count become the main scoring factors, even though they reveal almost nothing about the overall financial picture.
