So I finally got back a letter from one of the CA's regarding my request for Validation. So I open the envelope and pull out two sheets of paper.
The first sheet was pretty much a Bill. It had listed the amount owed with a space for my CC# with "SEND FULL PAYMENT" in bold. It also had a blurb saying "Here is your VERIFICATION of the debt as you requested. LOL what are these people thinking? BTW it wasn't even sent CRRR. What to do?

Second story is regarding TU. I sent an on-line dispute a few weeks ago regarding one of my Visa CC's. They have the same account listed TWICE on the CR. It came back as Verified and was never removed? So Instead of one Visa Acct with some baddies, I have two which makes my overall TU report look much worse...

    Should I shoot myself now?

Don't shoot yourself. Just find out who TU verified with, call that person and see if they verified two accounts. If not, get it in writing from the bank, then serve TU with a small claims lawsuit.

How do I find out who they verified with? Will TU tell me that if I just call them?

    Thanks.

    bump...

Also, can I get them for trying to collect while validation is in progress? Like I stated before, they sent what appears to be a bill. The first page has total amount due, with a place to enter your CC# and it states to pay amount in FULL to resolve this.

    Any ideas?

Who verified - send a procedures request. I would mention you expect to know who verified duplicate accts. as BOTH being accurate. Maybe they will go ahead and delete without bothering.

CA - IMHO thats continued collection activity. Period.
