My reports are showing that BofA waited 2 years before charging off my account. Is there time limit as to when they can charge-off? My reports show 1 1/2 years of 180 days late - ouch!
A few of mine show that sometimes they report right away other times it take's time i guess it depends on how long the spit ball contest's last in their cubilce.in fact afer my mother in law died 6 months later they show her as current pay's on time this was 2 years later.
I sounds like they show 180 and then kept updating it each month on the account, they can continue reporting for as long as they want and they got to know that the late is continually affecting the score each time they update. I would dispute the payment history being incorrect and ask for removal if they don't correct it. Just like that, be sure to send it certified mail return receipt requested. Keep that green card and see if they respond within 35 days. If not write back in asking for it to be removed they can take it off and always add it back later, just that if they add it back later they have to give you 5 business day notice of reinsertion. If they don't all you have to do is write in pointing out their failure to give you proper notice and you want said item removed.
When you dispute just report it as incorrect and to correct it don't tell them what's incorrect let them fiqure out what
No, you need to tell them what you are disputing, such as the date of delinquency, balance or whatever. Target specific data fields.
I thought you could just dispute their report thank's for correcting me i will have to redo my disputes still have a lot to learn
