I just got my 3-n-1 credit report and I thought I would ask all of you for your advice. Before, I was just going to try to settle all of these accounts for deletion, but now I think after reading everything I should just first dispute them with the CRA if they come back verified then validate with the CAs, and if that comes back as properly validated then try to settle for deletion. As for the OC I am not sure-- suggestions? Thanks! Btw-- I checked with the NC statutes (I have always lived in NC) and it is three years.

First Financial Bank of SD --listed as charge off on Exp and Eq-- interestingly enough listed as unrated on TU--- $1850.00 LDA--- 10/00 (I am concerned about this one since it has not passed the SOL as of yet-- advice on this one is much appreciated-- however they decided to charge it off on 10/00-- I personally believe the account went into default much earlier than 180 days before this date).

    Alltell/360 communications-- Paid charge off
Exp and TU (I have already disputed this and waiting)
Equ it shows as a current for $300.00. LDA 12/98

Amex-- charge off $557.00 LDA 6/98
    Exp: charge off
    TU: unrated
Equ: on the 3-n-1 it shows LDA as 7/02-- NOT TRUE

AFNI--- for a Sprint LD bill $475.00 LDA 1/99 though on the 3-n-1 it shows as 1/02 and 2/02. Also says account submitted to collection.

Citibank-- LDA 5/99 $1302.00 in each CRA charge off

Texaco/Citibank LDA 4/97-- says on Eqf-- account sold and on TU transferred or sold acct total charge off $174.00

MBNA LDA 1/99 on all CRA it says acct transferred or account closed. It does not give any info as to balance.

OCWEN Financial LDA 7/99 $954.00-- does say on Eqf account was submitted to collections and on this 3-n-1 report it says LDA was 3/00 which is not accurate

Wachovia on TU for Del 150 for $954 then says closed by consumer-- this is the same acct which is now "owned by OCWEN." on the other report. I think this should just be disputed plain out since I think it was sold.

CBCS-- LDA 8/99 for BellSouth $707.00 on all 3 CRA. collection account/charge off

ParkDansan-- samething as above only on TU account so I think this should be disputed or validated?

Limited-- shows as current but 30 days late once on two reports. On TU it shows as unrated-- i closed acct btw back in 98.

UNC-CH-- school loans do not shows as paid yet and there are same lates, I have already disputed these and if they come back verified since I just reenrolled and have already satisfied these loans I have a really really good chance of getting these to only report as pays as agreed or current. I have a friend in the loan office so I think that should work out fine. Not too worried here.

College Foundation-- shows as late and the same thing as above. I have a really good relationship so I think I can get the lates removed.

Now for the biggie which makes me ill just to look at it--

Asset Acceptance Corp for a "Citibank account" with an acct number I do not recognize. It shows on two CRA Equi and TU-- the balance shows as 1839.00 with a LDA of 6/99--- it is UNRATED on both reports but it does show a wonderful Customer has located consumer-- I have looked for some documentation but I have no idea what this acct is and I have not received anything either. So???

AND because I think all of the positives should also be listed. :)

I was listed as an AU on an old credit card with Citibank and it shows as current from 97 no limites or anything. Shows only on TU

My credit union--- three accounts on Equifax (I am going to ask my loan officer to have all of these reported to TU and Exp as well)-- accounts are:

    1000.00 installment -- current
    7500.00 car loan installment-- current
9903 car loan installment current with 0 balance

US Dept of Education--- on all three reports 15400.00 shows all as current and pays as agreed

College foundation computer loan 3500.00 installment current and pays as agreed on all accounts.

    UNC-CH 500.00 installment current with 0 balance

I will be adding the Cap1 credit card with a 200.00 limit to the positive mix as well.

    Thanks for your suggestions

First I'd recommend ordering each of your reports from the CRA's directly.

Test the water by disputing 3-4 items starting with Charge-offs from the OC not the CA's if any.

Work from oldest to newest, If you really want to work on lates/Inquiries go ahead but I myself would work on those after you've taken care of your major derog, those are just the matter of fine tuning your report IMO.

Goodluck to ya, keep those pos current.
