    Long story short:

Disputed a tl with all 3 CRA's after validating the CA back about 10 months ago.

That's right, 10 months. Long story, I told you.

    Short Version (as of Today)

Dispute status still on CRA's reports (all 3).

Aren't I seeing 3 Violations? (each of the CRA's) and a violation for the CA? Oohhh! Wait, that's FOUR!

Yipeee! Can someone verify my thinking here?

did you send it CRRR? isn't 10 months kind of long to wait to dispute with the CRA's?

what is wrong with it still being listed as dispute status? is that what the CA is reporting or the CRA?

in the 10 months did you perform any sort of follow up to the CA?

    Here's the thing. No, I didn't.

Was that dumb? Why yes -- yes, it was.

    Can I fix it?

That's the question. What are my options?

    I'm thinking:

    (1) Notify CRA of 10 month 'account in dispute' notation, and force removal under FCRA remedies and mention ITS if not done at receipt of C/R/R/R.

    (2) Go directly to start, do not pass GO, and notify CRA of ITS via C/R/R/R.

    (3) Notify CRA of 10 month 'account in dispute' notation and do nothing.

I'm opting for #1 or #2. Anyone else?

    Thx

i hope you realize i'm not being critical - just clarifying.

my thought - and all FDCPA/FCRA experts jump in - is that the CA can report the account as being in dispute indefinitely? anyone?

    Re: Re: 3 Violations?

I do -- and I thank you. I'm just feeling a wee bit stupid; hoping that a late xmas comes out of my long-standing inability to get my 'show on the road' when it comes to credit correciton.

Alas -- it matters not. I'm going through all of the motions again. Correcting credit is like working out. If you go for a spurt, and then don't return for a stretch - it really ends up being nothing for nothing.

    Anyhow...
