Hi All! I need some help quick. I have been so very good with my credit cards, but picked up a late pay because I was away at training for work and missed two months and wmonths late on my Dillards acoount. I called and expalined the situation and they say they can't remove it. I dipsuted it online with Experian and am going to PFB them. Any other suggestions?
In my opinion Dillards is very good to work with. I had a charged off account and paid awhile back. I settled for about 40%, once paid the lady faxed me a reciept that she SPECIFICALLY back dated (I did not even ask about deletion or anything like that, I did not know about credit repair at the time) to exactly seven years previous. So that it would have to be removed from the bureaus. Though I never had to use that receipt b/c I disputed and they all came off.
Did you use PFB or just contact them directly. I called and spoke to a service rep and of course there was nothing she could do. Thanks for your reponse.
Just wanted to mention my experience.....I've had a Dillard's card since 1996 and my limit has increased several times (on their part, not my request) and is now $3500. I've never been above $650 and have rarely carried a balance. I have a 30 day late with them from 1999 which they will not remove. I never had lates before then or since. It really was a one time thing and there were circumstances behind it. I've disputed three times with each bureau over the last two years and several times with Dillards, written and telephone conversations. If you get it removed, please pass along what you did.
Well I have a letter saying my account is open and current from Dillards. I am going to fax this to the CRA's and state the information on my report is inaccurate. Hopefully this will work. Just ask Dillards for a letter stating that you account is current and open.
