I have a question regarding the validation rule of the FDCPA. It says the first collection notice must have a number of specific things. Well I never recieved this first collection notice. The first time they contacted me is wehen I sent validation.

So I feel they are violating the FDCPA by not givng me proper notice - of my right to dispute, etc! What is to prevent them from saying that they did mail me correct notice? I moved but I put in a chnage of address form. I also obviously never signed for a CRRR from them. In my validation letter I requested proof that they had mailed the proper notice to me - they did not repond to this request.

How strong is my contention that they violated FDCPA?

    Thanks,

    Tom
