OC sent me a letter stating they sold account to CA, CA has not sent me a letter yet. I want to send them a validation letter to prevent them from reporting account to CRA, does the 30 days to dispute start when they send me a letter or when OC sent me letter in Feb?? If they can't validate and have not yet reported then they can't report until they validate? So since i have not receive letter from CA what should i do??

no, i received a telegram i have not called the 1-800 # to find out the message it does not say on the paper who it is from just says call # for message. could that be their way of contacting me? or does it have to be a letter? The letter OC sent me it says they sold account to sherman and to mail payment to alegis group and alegis address is on letter what should i do wait for letter from sherman or alegis or do i send validation to the alegis address??thanks for your help
What is the 800# on the telegram? Maybe we can find out whose number that is on the web...... or you can call from a payphone and see who answers.

I say wait until you get a letter or a phone call from them. The telegram is only an attempt to contact, not a contact if you do not call the number.
