Got 4 TU deletions, they included my credit score with the updated reports, I did not gain a single point on my score with the 4 deletions, it is the same score it was in November, thought that was interesting.
How old were they? I'm wondering about them too, because I have 4 deletions and 2 positives (AU accounts that are about 3 yrs old) added and NO point gain myself.
It looks like they were about a year and a half to two years old. They were duplicate collections, one from the original creditor and one from the collection agency. The original creditor lines were deleted.
I've had 13 negatives removed but have seen only a very slight increase in my score...41 points. Something is not right when you take steps to improve your report but the score doesn't change in any significant way whatsoever. I think we're being misled about the FICO. There's a missing piece to the puzzle that we're still unaware of. They're still not telling us something...it just doesn't make any sense. Calmest_LA
I read a thread here, yesterday, I think, about how FICO only uses accounts with activity in the last 6 months. See this thread:
Hello all, I think time is a big factor with TU also. If you are able to get a deletion, they rarely up your score immediately. I had a 60 day(from July of this year) late and all other lates removed from an acount since 1998 removed and no change to my score. However, when I talked with a lender, my TU score was a hundred points higher than what TU gave me online and on paper. Yes, I know we believe there are multiple score templates, but 100 points seems to me a big difference. Unfortunately, I do not think TU is as quick to change your score as EXP and EQ. When EQ received the same update my score went up over a 100 points (although a 90 day was included in the update). So to summarize, CRAs STINK!!!! Mike G.
