On my Experian report I have 6 pulls (4 in 2002 and 2 in 2003) by Orchard Bank. They appear to be PRMs. Why would that happen so many times within such a short period? Do I have any recourse?
On Experian, PRMs are grouped together with other soft inquiries... Yes, you can have a number of PRMs from the same company, it depends on how many times the puller sends a request which matches your file, so if the company requests six different database queries at the same time, theoretically you could match all of those queries, and be given to the same company six times, at the same time. The company will probably match out the duplicate names, before they actually mail the offer, so it is possible that even for six PRMs you would only receive one offer from the company.
Thanks for the explanation. I do recall receiving 2 offers on separate occasions but tossed them out.
How do you opt out from something like this? I looked at my credit report today and saw the same thing.
