Last month when you applied/received the $2000 unsercured capital one card- did you apply online? Did you get a 60 second decision? Was it the classic card? I have had a secured capone card for almost 2 years (dec). I want to apply but don't want to get denied. I have perfect credit for the past 2 years. No BK or judgements. Several paid collections and 2 charge offs. P.S. I've only had one increase and I had to ask for it ($100 july 2000). All payments have been on time and more than mininum. Should I go for it?
I think you should. I did not receive instant decision. I was shocked when the card came in the mail. Your history sounds better than mine. My delinquencies were from 2/99 or 4/99 and paid as of 3/00: student loan defaults. The only other item on mine is a discover settlement from 1995.
also molly, I only applied for I applied for the classic card. I would advise you to apply for the classic or gold depending on how lucky you feel. Capital one so far has allowed me to have 3 accounts with them. GoodLUCK!
