I keep disputing but all I get out of it is its "verified." Now, I think I'm at a point were my first late payment of 7yrs old should knock off my charge-off. Unfortunately, my first late charge isn't on my report. It just states charge-off 6yrs ago. I think I need to get my first late posted. But, I spoke to someone in the business and they said that even if it posted it would drop-off by default (7yr). And, I'd still have to wait until the charge-off reaches 7yrs before it dropped off. I called the Credit Reporting Agency and the said the Charge-off comes off 7yrs from the first late payment. Maybe I misunderstood them. Does any one know?
7 years from the first payment which was late (or short), which you never caught back up from. (AKA the "commencement of the delinquency leading to the charge-off.") You may be able to try to dispute as "incorrect payment history, account obsolete." Demand that the data furnisher CONCLUSIVELY verify the payment history from the original documentation, and not from a cursorary review of their computer systems. As per Johnson v. MBNA.
