Just got a charge off account deleted today, finally reached the 700 club. transunion score went up 62 points!! for 1 charge off for $180, 644-706.
Congrats! I am kinda celebrating too (see my thread "Trying to clean up..." I am hoping to see 700 or better, if not now, maybe soon. I had no charge-offs. But wow, a charge-off = a lot of points. I'll put that scoring info in my notes. Care to share strategy?
Congrats 2 both of u! Ya, you'd be amazed at how much that last chargeoff is worth on some people's reports. I got 47 points when a chargeoff came offa my Equifax report awhile back. I was diggin around here, and found a story of somebody that got over 100 points when 2 things came off his report! Keep up da good work!
Honestly here is how you do it. Go to the better business bureau website, get the right numbers for the cra(Im not talking about the 800 number found on your credit report), and explain the situation to a supervisor/manager. You are able to get numbers for supervisors for the three cra on the bbb web. For example I called one of these numbers, explained I was a customer of theirs, paying for my credit reports, and that I would like to continue to be a costumer if a questionable item was deleted. IT WORKED!, I got a co deleted simply because they wanted to continue to satisfy me and keep me paying for my credit reports. no investigation needed! 15 deletions as of 06-2005.
