    Hi all

I'm so excited I could scream. I just retrieved my score from Equifax and it's a whopping 762.

I have only one credit card listed on it and that's a store card. I just got a Kmart Mastercard and a Target card this month so that info will be added soon.

On my Equifax report from 4/3, there was a derog from Citibank with a DLA of 12/94. It should have dropped off this December but it's not on the report I got today! I could scream with joy!

My question is, do these things always fall off earlier than the full 7 years? This item is still listed on Experian as Transferred and indicates this will be reported until 1/2002. It also appears on TU but the only dates associated with the entry are 1999.

Is it only on Equifax that some things fall off early?

Thanks! I'm beginning to believe that I just might get a house some day...

    Congrats Shirley!

It can fall off early! I have had items fall off a year before it was due. But generally its between 3 to 6 months when they are removed.

If the CRA has obsolete information, from my reading of the FCRA they can be held basically strictly liable of the violation. Therefore, most times they remove it early just to be on the safe side. Of course then you could get a hard a@#@$#! creditor who wants to stick to you for the 7 years but most times CRAS remove it early.

Like GMAC, who is fighting me on removing a paid charge off from 1995. (due to fall off on 11/02.) They verified for months without sending me any info, then pulled the info from archives and drafted a spreadsheet that would put Bill Gates to shame just to keep it on there till the very last day it falls off. (I have had a few other early deletes though, so I cant complain too much.:)

    Congrats Shirley!!

Equifax and Experian delete negatives 3 months early (w/o dispute) TU deletes one month early
