I just called the Quantum Card Customer Services for reducing my APR. They transferred me to rate dept and he lowered my Quantum Rewards Card from 10.99% fixed to 9.9% fixed APR starting next billing cycle. He told me it is the lowest rate that they offered. All of my MBNA cards including Elite Rewards Visa all have 9.99% fixed APR.

    George,

They lied to you. I got both 9.9% fixed for both my Quantum Select Rewards Mastercard and Elite Rewards Visa. I called them two times for reducing my rate to 9.9% fixed and it couldn't be a mistake.

The rate adjustment dept. took me down to 10.99 (from 12.99) last month. Call again. :)

I got a cold call from MBNA, they offered me 1.7% APR for 6 months, no fee and a go to rate of 9.9% fixed APR. Of course, I took the offer for $7,000 which will be deposited into my checking account at no fee. I already have a $16,000 line with MBNA and a $12,000 line with First Union, they would not allow me to pay either one of those lines, so they move the money over to my checking account and guess what, I am paying the MBNA balance which will be changing in about a month to whatever the go to rate is on that account, right now it is at 8.9%

    marci,

I requested lowering my rate for Quantum Rewards MC from 12.99% to 10.99% two months ago. I called them last week and they lowered my rate from 10.99% to 9.99% fixed. I think that you can qualify for 9.99% fixed. He told me it is the lowest rate that MBNA can offer.

I called to get the 9.99% and she got me off on a TANGENT...I got 3.99% BT NO FEE...

    BUT I STILL HAVE A GO-TO" 11.99%

I don't buy anything on it...

I use AMEX BLUE, FLEET VISA or TARGET VISA...

    George,

They always offer you BT rate instead of the rate for purchases. You told them that you wanted the lower rate for purchases instead of BT rate. They told me that I have 3.7% fixed BT until September or something and they can deposit into my checking account.
