Should I notify the FTC or the BBB or FDIC OR WHO??? SHOULD I SEND A "NOTICE OF SMALL CLAIMS COURT FILING"??? Or send a "NOTICE OF INTENT TO LIEN PROPERTY"??? ON MY 20th CALL (LAST FRIDAY???)...THEY BASICALLY SAID IT TAKES A WHILE TO INVESTIGATE WHAT HAPPEND TO THE FIRST CHECK...IF ANYBODY CASHED IT OR NOT...AND TO DECIDE IF THEY NEED TO SEND A NEW ONE...THEN---->DON'T CALL USE WE WILL CALL YOU!!!
George, I would definitely file a small claims suit. They've had over 60 days to rectify the situation. I would, however, send them a CRRR letter outlining the enitre ordeal, including names and dates of people with whom you've already talked to about the matter. This would document your good faith effort to get the problem resolved out of court. I would also mention concerns over their *accounting* practices, since they're probably padding their bottom line by milking other customers just as they are doing to you. Then send copies of this letter to the the BBB, attorney general's office, state board of insurance, and whomever else you can think of. Apparently, State Farm thinks they're above the law or perhaps the amount of money in question is insignificant to them. They're probably hoping you'll just go away. Keep at it and good luck.
