    76 point jump on EQ!!!

I'm FINALLY home free!!! All baddies are gone from all 3 CRA's! I decided to dispute the CH13 one last time before it would automatically fall off next month on TU/EQ. Sure enough, both TU and EQ deleted, hence the big point gains!!

I'm not sure if they deleted them because the time is so close for automatic deletion, or because of my dispute method. I disputed by sending a copy of my Experian report to them, saying Experian was able to verify that the CH13 was already outdated. Because Experian deleted, you must also delete. The surprising thing is, I just sent out those disputes a week ago!

Oh, I also tried disputing 2 of the 3 hard inquiries on EQ but they remain. And I sent copies of my C1 statements showing my credit limits, asking all 3 cra's to update my C1 accounts with their true CL, but none of them have done it so far. I doubt they will.

I no longer have to worry about who pulls what report! The only ones I can't apply for are Citi and Chase because they were both BK'd. I'm thinking Amex and MBNA.

Thanks for everyone's help here, you guys are great. I need some advice. I want to close some accounts, and at the same time I don't want to take a hit on my scores...but which one(s) to close?

Here are my cc's, I need to know which one(s) to get rid of. All are paid $0 balance, and most haven't been used in months. The only one I use is DMB.

DMB is pissing me off. They still have not reported on any CRA after 4 months of having opened the account. CL $7700. Open 2/02

Orchard Bank, $2500. But this account is from 1998?

Target Visa $2000 , just opened 2/02. "toy card".

Providian Gold $5000. Open since 1998.

    Cap1 Gold $7500. Open since 1996.
    Cap1 Plat $5000. Open since 12/01.
    Spiegel/EB $1400. Open since 00.

I'm not paying annual fees for any of them.

    Any suggestions?

    EQ 756
    TU 831

lol! I was surprised myself to see such big jumps. That goes to prove BK's are the ultimate score killers, no matter how old they are.
I wish I could sell you some, but I'm holding on for now till all of them pass 800. Get back to me then!

My 13Bk will be seven years old in June of '03. And I have read on the Board that I can expect the tradelines associated with the BK to fall off three to four months, I believe it was, prior to the seven year time frame, which again is next June, '03.

does anyone have any advice on when I can dispute <<<obsolete>>> the tradelines to get them to fall off a little early? What would be a little early, delete it apprach versus yea, let's verify this as accurate and leave it the CRA CR.

they have all been disputed and verified, and everything on them is correct...date opened/date closed/high balance/recent balance/current status, etc.

Have never disputed the BK entry itself with the CRA's though I (through poor poor legal advice) sent copies of my papers to Exp and TU <<<dumb/dumb/dumb, didn't belong to CreditNet back then >>>>

anyone have any luck, any guidance to pass on?

what about any luck with disputing the BK itself and getting it deleted prior to the seven years from filing date? any possibilities there?

Would definitely appreciate the input and direction !! I know that no matter what else I do, my score will likely stay in the high 600's until these BK related entries are deleted. I can't wait to get these off, especially the BK itself.

    Maggie,
I had a bk13 removed when I found an inaccuracy and disputed it as "I never had a BK with account #XXX" or whatever the inaccuracy was...it worked immediately.

Mine is falling off 6/03 as well. I've had some credit lines fall off before...some are scheduled to fall off before because, generally, the date of last activity is well before the BK as most people stop paying months before the BK is official.

    Hope that helps,
    Good luck
