It has been approx. one year since my reposession. Same song and dance " 24.000 balance on note, 14000 at auction....leaving me with a 10,000 dollar headache. I recieved all notification of sale and repo. Not disputing that. Question is.......recieved letter 3 months ago stating judgement was filed against me for the 10 grand. Pulled 3 bureau today...no public records on file. Was the letter a threat or does it take time to show up. Second question is. ....best coarse of action?...let it go and take my chances or......make a deal to make payments in lieu of "repossession" removal.....kinda stuck.....any help would be good
I'll answer your first question and let someone else take your second question. The repo may show up as a public record, but it also might not unless your creditors decide to manually forward the information to the credit reporting agencies.
Does anyone have any other ideas to resolve this matter.Thnx tomjones. I am not disputing the balance owed, i messed up , im stupid and deserve everything i got, but since the judgement has not been sent to the cra's as of yet i am concerned that by not taking action immediatly i will soon be seeing a public record on my files. And i really do not want that. Should i just call the law firm handling the case and make payment arrangements , or should I put in a motion to vacate the judgement. By the way I have not recieven any correspondence regarding this matter in about 3 months. Thnx for any kind responses
