    Bank Problems? . . . Try a credit union.
I have no Chex Systems record, and tried for several months to open a business account. Because of my FICO, several of the large banks [Wells Fargo, Bank of Amer, etc.] repeatedly turned me down. A client suggested I try one of the local credit unions. I have an affiliation because of a family member. The credit union opened both the business checking and savings and a Visa debit card. They setup online banking on the spot and could not have been more professional and accommodating. I plan on investigating their CD rates and hope this will be the start of a long, good business relationship!.

At that same time, there was another customer who had a couple of negative items on her Chex Systems report. She needed an account for direct deposit, and was still able to open a savings with an ATM card, and was told once she had [paid in full] letters from those institutions that reported her to Chex, she could open a checking account with a Visa debit card. No ridiculous five year ban, or FICO wrangling.

No disrespect to DavidK our resident Wells Fargo aficionado, but Wells Fargo can now kiss my assets!
    Credit Unions rule!
