I have some old tradelines that are showing up on my reports. They are from 1999,2000,2001 they are good tradelines all showing paid and closed accounts.

should I leave them on the reports, or try and have them removed due to length of time??

Secondly, I have a judgment from 2003 from Capone for about $9000. They are not trying to collect it, so i am going to just leave it be for now, but my question is...does anyone know how many points that might be costing me to keep it on my report??

    thanks

IMHO, never remove a good tradeline, no matter how old.

I agree. It can only help.

As far as the judgment, it might not be hurting your scores too much because it's old. But the reporting period expiration doesn't make a judgment go away, although it may remove it from your report.

In many states, a judgment can remain for up to 20 years, and in some states can be renewed. You're going to have to deal with this at some point.
