   I was thinking about applying. I got a "pre-approved" card in my Spring 2001 catalog. It says you get instant approval online. I think that bank's pretty easy to get approved for.
   
   You don't get any 10% off the first purchase, though.
   It says it should arrive in the mail 7-10 days after applying.
