A little good news on my taxes this year...

I got all my 1099-C's. The BofA settlement I made in December did not clear by the end of the year and that $9,000 of canceled debt is being reported next year. Plus, two other creditors reported a total of $1,250 less in canceled debt than I was expecting. Obviously, the $9,000 is deferred rather than avoided but, still, that's over $2,500 less in taxes I'll be paying this year than I expected.

Nice...it's always a great feeling to have to pay less than expected.
