I was just sitting back today thinking about what I do and then it hit me why don't other people join the bandwagon. Case in point. We all know about national check control and their abuses. Well about 5 months ago the forums got swamped with abuse stories yet nothing ever got done. A very few of us started helping people and kept harping over and over to get those complaints out. I cannot tell you how many threads or emails I answered with 'be heard'. all it took was a couple of people who cared enough to take the time to get rid of this company. Now look at what is happening with NCC. then let us take camco. Everyone basically knows my crusade against them. I get help here and there but basically I am alone. I have emailed multiple times to get people to get those complaints out and camco was kicked out of the BBB and they now have a bad rating. I have talked to more legislators than you could possibly know. I have letters from jeb bush, the chief finance officer of florida, and even the mayor of rockford. today I got a call from one of the FTCs investigators. Although they can neither confirm not deny blah blah blah that camco is under investigation my sources state they are and camco is sweating now. Heck, I have even had 4 attorneys ask for advice and I am just a stupid stay at home dad. what is the moral of this story. I see people come on and complain but they never do anything. NOTHING. they just whine and moan. You can do something. there are hundreds to thousands of us on the board. I have shown you what one person can do. What about 10, or 50, or 100? Look at experian. Over the last year their abuse has grown and people bitch and moan about them but they do not do anything. Who says we cannot write letters. Who says we cannot hit the ftc, the attorney generals, and the bbb with complaints. Sure they have money and we have a voice. If you yell loud enough someone will listen. Someone make a poll of the top 5-10 worst offenders out there. We vote and then we hit them hard. Or we can sit back, do nothing, get our problem fixed, and go about our lives not giving a rats ass about anyone else but ourselves. the choice is yours.
This is why nothing will ever change. All talk and no action. We can help people over and over until we are green in the face but unless someone takes action the abuse and harassment will continue. I will continue to work on Camco until they are put away and then I will 'retire' from this help business.
I screamed at the top of my voice with letters to the FTC, BBB, State of FL B&F, and Consumer Agency of Hillsborough Co. and guess what they deleted. I sent each documentation of all of my letters. They all tried to help with the exception of the FTC who can only file and document until they take action. The BBB was useless but I think they got the message after 4 different agencies contacted them of my behalf. Moral of the story: report all illegal activities by CA and OCs to regulatory agencies they will get the message after awhile, if not lawsuits, fines, shut-down. It worked against a couple of CAs and they folded like a deck of cards.
