Go to Google and search for the term open office and click on the first link that pops up. Download open office and install it. Open office is much better than Microsoft Word because it is free and it holds it's formatting much better. You can open MS Word documents with it but MS Word can't read Open office documents. It has all the same programs that MS office has but the spreadsheet isn't quite as easy to use as Excel is. Excel has the ability to interact live with an online document when uploaded to a web site but the Open Office spreadsheet can't do that. With open office it is easier to insert automatic page numbering which is important when doing court documents.
