I just received a e-mail from the Generations Bank stating I was Pre-Approved for a Unsecured Loan in the amount of $3000.00 and to "Click" to accept. I will have to think about it. I guess they are really hungry for customers or something. 620 Fico must be good enough for them at this time. I don't know the terms on the unsecured loan but will research later. Might be good for another credit building trade line. I will bank the money and pay off in (6) month period. Good for Fico Score/

Re: A P P R O V E D ! Generations B I started the application process. When I stated my income - a "pop up message" told me I will have to furnish proof of income - I canceled the application as... I teach at a University and have been off for the summer. This application will be better accepted by the lender next month when I can provide easy to understand income verification. Jim

My application was somewhat less than serious after the MBNA Amtrak matter. So yes, I did postpone my application for a month when I encountered the income verification issue. BTW - this is the first time I have ever seen a "pop up message" of this type when applying on-line. No-one else mentioned it. ODD!!! Best regards - Jim
Re: A P P R O V E D ! Generations B The application did not want to go anywhere at the last step. I not have a generations account and did not want to provide them with my checking account. I tried to press next and it just stopped dead. Just a blank page. I have never seen a application that actually wanted my checking info and I am reluctant to give out that info.

Speaking positively, I had located this bank on Card Trak before I began my half hearted application- so it appears the bank is legitimate. However, I wonder if these approvals are real. Or are they going to be retracted by the bank at the slightest pretext. Jim

It stops working around the area where it ask for the checking account info. it just brings me to a blank page. I'll refrain myself to apply this time around. My scores wouldn't be qualified anyway. I should listed to my inner voice, it's telling me not to not to go crazy and tack on unwanted inquiries.

Yes Amtrack approved me and denied me later. They pulled Trans Union and approved. Then a few days later they pulled Experian. Then I was denied. As I said in my post, do not apply if you are not willing to take a chance. Its your call, I just report on my progress and share the info with other on this board. I hope Generations Bank keeps my approval a approval. What is the chance of them pulling another bureau after stating I was APPROVED.
