As I was researching some things, I came across this on Equifax's website. They are trying to dispell an email rumor. (I have never seen the "bogus" email) It mentions Innovus in passing and I thought it was interesting. This is the best part: Credit information is available ONLY to legitimate businesses that have a permissible purpose for obtaining it under the provisions of the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act. Those purposes are financial transactions, initiated by you, the consumer, for reasons of credit, insurance or employment. Yet we aren't allowed to dispute them cause they are permanent and records of fact?
