I have now had quite a few TU inquiries deleted between mine and my husband's reports. Each time they were deleted it was by using their website & only disputing inquiries (i.e.nothing else combined) One thing that I have noticed that all of these deletions share in common. They all had roughly 90 days left before they would have fallen off on their own. So, they are really just deleting them 90 days early. This is just an observation, but I haven't seen one deleted that had more than 90 days to go yet. Anyone else experience something different?
Mine are all relatively new...and TU sends back their form letter stating that they were all permissable. Experian deleted them all before they took away that online option. Anyone have any advice for recent inquiries on how to get them deleted?
Really, Dave? That blows my theory! Any common paralell you can draw for the deletion of that recent inquiry? Did you submit it online, by itself, etc? I would be interested to know. Lisa
NO I submitted with one dispute for a positive account (an AU which I did had gotten myself removed from the month prior.) The only thing I can say is that the item I disputed with the inquiry was a positive item...just charged to the max to take advantage of 0% BT offer and hurt my bal/limit ratio. I think/hope they (TU) simply have woken up to the fact that if people cannot dispute inquiries, they will sue. Lizardking scared them -Peace, Dave
Hopefully Lizardking scared them enough that all of us can benefit! We can only hope that is the case!
Hi Lisa WAVING to you, I've had the same experience as Dave posted with TU. I dispute a few inquiries everytime I initiate a dispute, just throw them into the mix and I do mix them up. I've never disputed just inquiries, don't know if that makes a difference or not. Maybe I will though, just to see what happens. Some have been deleted, some I've received the same letter as you on. Format, age...I have no idea what makes a difference. I can't figure them out -- I think that's the idea too. Sassy
