Do I need to go sign up with AA for the frequent flier program? I plan to use them for flying now and was curious on how my Citi miles and my actual flying miles could combine. I was approved for the silver card. I guess I'll wait six months before trying to get any other Citi card (or anything else for that matter LOL)

I called customer service today and they wouldn't tell me the limit, but she told me "sometimes it can be as low as $2000" like that was horrible! For an ex sub sub primer that until yesterday could only get secured or high fee/rate unsecured card ($750) that is not low :) I assume balance transfers are allowed?

Thanks guys! Hope everyone is OK.

Steph, when your card comes, it should have your new AA number printed on it at the top (if not, call Citi and have them issue you a new one, if you want that feature), but your AA number will also be on the sheet that the card's attached to telling you your limit.

Look in the upper right-hand corner.

You can then go to http://www.aa.com and establish your online account so you can watch your miles "grow".

HI- as well as being addicted to this board I am also addicted to frequent flyer miles--there is a great board called www.flyertalk.com just click on forums and scroll down to American airlines the posters will key you in to promotions American has one right now where you get 20,000 points for using 20 aa partners by sept 31, Sounds hard, but it is not since you can acquire alot of partners very cheaply.Thr flyertalk board tipped me to alot of promos for alot of airlines and I am just a normal traveler. It is alot of fun.Hilton hotels has a great program.too.

Many have had great success for approval when applying for a second card. Most have immediately applied for the gold card and were approved and then immediately combined the cards for one large balance. Then they converted the card to the citi platinum select.

I chose to convert one card to plat and keep the silver.

ps, I just realized I do not have a visa. 2 mastercards and a platinum.

I debated doing that, but since I was initially denied then reconsidered and approved when I used Planet Feedback, I am afraid to further push my luck.

When you were initially denied, what did you say on planetfeedback?
