i have paid off all of my credit cards. the only derog that i have is several lates from over 2 years ago. my tu score is 800 or so (out of 950). i need a credit card to add to my mix (for experian and equifax). does anyone think i should give the BofA a shot? i don't have any inquiries for the last 2 years, btw. TIA

    The lates might hurt you.

Call them rather than apply online. I applied online and was rejected yesterday with a 743 TU score. I was declined due to too many inquiries. I called them and asked what score they were looking for. They told me mid 600's. I think you would be fine.

    well, i got rejected online
Thank you for your application for a Bank of America Visa Gold credit card account. We regret we're unable to approve your request at this time. The reason for our decision is:

Number of months since most recent delinquency

**This didn't do much for my self-esteem. The only reason that I had the lates to begin with is b/c of Profina CCCS. Although I was able to pay off my cards a lot faster, I didn't watch my statements from the cc every month like I should have. But, I am totally debt free right now. I only have a couple of cards still considered "open". The rest are either shown closed by me or closed by credit grantor. :(
Should I call and ask for reconsideration?

Of course you know that the TU score doesn't really matter, right? What they really look at is the FICO score. And the two can vary up to 50 points higher or lower (But if you have a FAKO of 755, chances are that your FICO score would be fairly decent).
